One of the highlights for many of the guests going on safari with me is visiting with the Maasai people that live in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area or NCA. Good morning from Tanzania. I have just returned from a spectacular safari where we enjoyed 9 days in the bush visiting the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Parks. One of the wildlife viewing highlights occurred on January 9, 2013 in the Seronera Valley in the Central Serengeti pictured above. It was amazing to see an entire pride of lions in a sausage tree (Kigelia Africana). This tree is known for its numerous sausage like fruits that hang down its branches. We counted 14 lions …
