Adam Meshallu Adam is a member of the Maasai tribe. He was born in Arusha and spent his childhood living in both his town home in Arusha and his traditional Maasai village in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (very near the Ngorongoro Crater). Adam had an early exposure to international visitors who always showed a keen interest in his Maasai village and culture. Since a young age, Adam knew he wanted to work in the tourism industry. He always dreamed of being a guide and taking people on safari. He learned much as a young child about the flora and fauna he encountered when he lived in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After completing school in 1993, Adam went on to study tour guiding at the Mweka Wildlife College including wildlife ecology and biology courses as well as basic field skill classes. After completing several courses from Mweka, Adam began working with one of Arusha’s large tour companies. He decided to join Africa Dream Safaris because he wanted to work with a smaller company that gave a more personal touch to their safaris and was more focused on wildlife viewing then counting miles. With over ten years of guiding experience in the national parks of Northern Tanzania, he is a welcome addition to our company. Adam is most fond of the lion as the true “King of the Jungle”. Its strength and skills as a hunter has kept his interest since his youth. The bateleur eagle is his favourite bird because of its patience as a hunter resulting in a high success rate in capturing its prey. Because Adam has this kind of patience, he likes to go by the nickname Bateleur. Adam is actively involved with conservation efforts and loves wildlife, his wife and his young daughter (though we are not sure in which order). He also enjoys travelling and has been to Zanzibar and Kenya. He wants to see more of the world. Select a driver guide to view their biography:
