The top 3 lodges in Tarangire are Swala Tented Lodge (5-star), Tarangire Treetops (5-star) and Kikoti Tented Lodge (4-star). Swala Tented Lodge is the gem of the park and is highly recommended on every itinerary (budget and availability permitting) during the dry season. Kikoti and Treetops are advantageous in that they offer night game drives and walking safaris. Oliver’s Tented Lodge (3-star) offers the best elephant walking safaris in Tanzania. The Tarangire Safari Lodge (3-star) has the #1 location in the park though the lodge itself is lackluster.
